Beneath Your Eye of Gold

Beneath Your Eye of Gold

Beneath Your Eye Of Gold

Beneath your eye of gold,
The centuries unfold,
The seasons pass on by.

Beneath your eye of gold,
All reasoning grows old,
All praises to the sky.

Beneath your eye of gold,
For summer days untold,
You’ve watched your children cry.

Beneath your eye of gold,
You let our hearts grow cold.
You’ve never told us why.
